Prudential Thailand signs MoU to support Chevening Scholarship

Bangkok, Thailand, 6 October 2020 Prudential Life Assurance (Thailand) Public Company Limited (“Prudential Thailand”) and the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to financially support the UK Government’s Chevening Scholarship Scheme. The MoU was signed by Mr. Robin Spencer, Chief Executive Officer of Prudential Thailand and Ms. Alexandra McKenzie, Deputy Head of Mission of the British Embassy Bangkok at the pre-departure reception organised for the Chevening scholars which took place at the JW Marriott Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand.

Ms. Chanidapha Yamyim, the 2020 Chevening Scholarship recipient, will pursue her master’s degree in Infrastructure Investment and Finance at the University College London. Her ambition is to work as a policy maker in an international/intergovernmental organisation to help drive the infrastructure development of Thailand as well as the Greater Mekong Subregion and beyond.

Prudential Thailand and the Prudence Foundation, the community investment arm of Prudential in Asia and Africa, have financially supported the Chevening Scholarship since 2015 as part of their commitment to strengthening the competitiveness and development of Thailand through education.
