Prudential Thailand Marks 30 Years
Prudential Thailand has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting healthier, longer lives by supporting the “Prudential Scenic Half Marathon Chanthaburi 2025” for the second consecutive year. The event, one of Thailand’s most picturesque and popular running races, aligns with the global megatrend of ‘Longevity’, encouraging Thais to embrace balanced, health-conscious lifestyles.
This year’s running event holds special significance as it coincides with Prudential Thailand’s 30th anniversary, marking three decades of steadfast service to the Thai people. The company continues to advocate for long-term wellbeing through its campaign, “STEP UP, START NOW”, which inspires individuals to take small, sustainable steps toward better health.
Mr. Bundit Jiamanukoonkit, Chief Executive Officer of Prudential Thailand, stated “This milestone year is a celebration of our enduring commitment to the Thai community. We believe that true wealth begins with good health—both physical and mental. Our longevity-focused campaign encourages Thais to take proactive steps today for a healthier tomorrow. Whether it’s through exercise, nutrition, or mental wellness, every small change counts.”
According to the World Economic Forum (March 2025), the Longevity trend is reshaping global demographics, with projections indicating that by 2080, the population aged 65 and above will surpass those under 18. This shift underscores the urgent need for nations to adapt their healthcare, economic, and social systems to support longer lifespans.
In Thailand, the trend is gaining traction, particularly among younger generations such as Gen Z and Junior College students. Over 20% of Thais now prioritise regular exercise, with running events becoming a key part of their lifestyle.
“Recognising this shift, Prudential Thailand is once again the title sponsor of the Scenic Half Marathon Chanthaburi 2025, a race certified by the World Athletics Road Race Label. The event not only promotes physical fitness but also supports environmental sustainability and local communities, making it a model for responsible tourism and wellness.” Mr. Jiamanukoonkit added
The race, dubbed the “Prudential Anniversary Run”, features multiple categories including a 3km Durian Run, 5km Fun Run, 10km Mini Marathon, and a 21.1km Half Marathon. The scenic route along Noen Nangphaya Hill and Kung Wiman Beach offers runners breathtaking views, making it one of the most visually stunning courses in the country.
Participants will enjoy a range of amenities including water tunnels, foot-soaking stations, photo spots, and accident insurance coverage of up to THB 100,000 per person. To commemorate the 30th anniversary, the top 30 male and female runners in the half marathon will receive a limited-edition PRUBear 30th Anniversary plush toy. Prudential customers can also relax at the exclusive Prudential Beach Lounge.
In addition, runners will receive special online discounts on select Prudential insurance products, including: PRU e-Legacy Saver, PRU e-Healthcare Plus, PRU Life Care, PRU Lady Cancer & PRU Cancer Care and PRU Critical Care. These come with three exclusive benefits: Up to 30% discount on first-year premiums, Tax deductions up to THB 100,000 (as per Revenue Department guidelines), 0% instalment plans for up to 10 months with participating credit cards.
