Prudential Thailand partners with MyDoc to launch telemedicine and online consultation services on Pulse by Prudential app
Bangkok, Thailand, 27 April 2021 - Prudential Life Assurance Public Company Limited (Prudential Thailand) is making healthcare more accessible to Thai people with the launch of telemedicine and online consultation services on Pulse by Prudential (Pulse), an all-in-one health and wellness app. Thanks to Prudential’s partnership with leading digital healthcare provider MyDoc, Pulse users can now schedule video consultations with a licensed doctor, obtain electronic prescriptions and electronic medical certifications, as well as arrange delivery of their prescribed medication from the comfort of their homes.
The new service on Pulse comes at a time of intense pressure on Thailand’s public health services and growing public interest in digital healthcare solutions amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Thai-licensed doctors offer affordable online medical consultation services with delivery of medication
MyDoc’s panel of Thai-licensed doctors and pharmacy partners are selected based on stringent standards. Designated doctors possess ample clinical experience gained at leading hospitals where they were specially trained and certified to conduct online consultations. In addition to being able to diagnose common ailments such as the common cold and flu, sinusitis and respiratory tract infections, they have also been trained to assess possible COVID-19 exposure or infection in a virtual appointment setting.
Apart from the virtual doctor consultation, patients can receive their medication prescribed by a GP at their preferred location via Grab, a MyDoc partner. For added reliability, Boots Pharmacy Thailand serves as the medication fulfilment partner for MyDoc, ensuring the safety and effectiveness of medications for the patients.

In August 2019, Prudential announced its regional partnership with MyDoc to offer consumers value-added health services via their mobile phones. Today, MyDoc’s telemedicine services are available via Pulse in Singapore, Vietnam, Hong Kong and now Thailand.
First introduced to the Thai market in May 2020, Pulse serves as a 24/7 health and wellness companion to users, helping them prevent, postpone, and protect against the onset of diseases. Since its launch in Thailand, the app has been receiving a positive response with over two million downloads to date, with the number of users still on the rise.
